HPV Warts – Do I have Them?
HPV outbreaks are any of the small benign tumors caused by one of the hundred or so human papillomavirus (hpv) viruses.
They are harmless for the most part but can impact a person’s quality of life negatively by marring his or her appearance. They will often cause discomfort, pain, and sometimes bleeding. They are often highly contagious. However you can’t catch genital warts from things like a towel, door handle, or toilet seat
All are HPV warts and are caused by one or another of the HPV viruses. Children and younger people are more likely than adults to display them. The more common types affecting the young often appear on fingers and hands. Adults, by contrast, are more likely to become infected by genital and plantar warts.
These genital HPV warts are tenacious and often recur. An individual can pass the virus to another individual through sexual contact, without either person being conscious of it. The virus can remain dormant in the recipient, who then passes it on to yet another individual, and so on.
The plantar variety appears on the weight-bearing parts of the feet, the soles and toes. Public areas with moist surfaces, such as public showers and swimming pool areas, are breeding grounds for these viruses. The plantar viruses can remain active on these surfaces for long periods of time. Never walk barefoot in these public areas.
How do you know if you have them?
Surprisingly, people will often mistake cancerous moles, calluses skin tags, or corns for warts.
Skin tags are a small piece of skin which hangs off the body and is often irregular in shape. Warts are more rounded and have a different texture to skin tags and can appear as small cauliflower-like bumps that can appear anywhere on your body. They have a rough surface, even borders, and can be flattened or bumpy. Tiny blackened marks from surface capillaries may be visible.
One thing that distinguishes them from corns, calluses or skin tags is the absence of regular skin lines across this growth’s surface; there is no continuation of the normal skin line pattern.
Another distinguishing feature is that they can occur singly or grouped together in what’s known as a mosaic wart pattern. They can range in color from pale pink to grayish or any variation of regular human skin color. They are shallow growths, lacking roots that run down to the bone.
The propensity to pass on the HPV viruses and to infect others or spread to other parts of the body are good reasons to get rid of warts . There are various ways to do this, but of course, taking measures to prevent their spread will be of benefit to all..
You can help to prevent the spread of HPV warts by practising basic good skin care and avoiding contact with infected skin or potentially infected public surfaces like showers or swimming pools. Keeping one’s skin clean and healthy is imperative as healthy skin forms an effective barrier to infection. Damaged skin can create an opening for harmful bacteria and viruses.
Regardless of how careful you are, however, you may be predisposed, or more vulnerable than the average person. Fortunately, you have options. A famous saying by a famous man who wanted to be seen as he really was.
When Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector of England was being painted by the noted artist, Sir Peter Leley, he asked that any imperfections he had not be painted out, but rather he be portrayed “warts and all.” While he coined the phrase, many people began to use this phrase worldwide. The phrase has come to mean bearing everything and not hiding things from the world.
How The Phrase “Warts And All” Was Born
This phrase “warts and all,” was most likely inspired by a normal, common wart that Oliver Cromwell might have had. Warts are fairly common and can come in many forms and appear on various parts of the body. Plantar warts appear on the feet, genital warts appear on the genitals and other types of warts may appear on other areas of the body. While it is the job of the body’s immune system to regulate the spread of these warts, there are times that the body cannot handle the situation and a doctor should be seen to take care of it.

What Are Common Warts And What Causes Common Warts?
Warts are small bumps of hardened skin. They can show up anywhere on the body, but you’ll usually find them on your hands, feet or face. Kids get them more often than adults do – but some kids never get any warts at all. Warts don’t usually hurt but they can look pretty nasty.
These non- cancerous skin growths caused by a viral infection in the top layer of the skin. Viruses that cause warts are called human papillomavirus (HPV). Warts are usually skin-colored and feel rough to the touch, but they can be dark, flat and smooth. The appearance of a wart depends on where it is growing. Most are treatable or in younger people may disappear by themselves. There are a number of effective wart removal treatments around and you need to make yourself familiar with them and nmaybe get some advice to make the right choice for you.
There are several different types of warts. For instance, common warts usually develop around sites where there was an injury; flat warts (accompanied by itching) develop on hands; digitate warts have fingerlike projections; filiform warts develop on eyelids, armpits, and necks; and plantar warts develop on the soles of the feet. Genital warts are pink cauliflower-shaped areas that develop on male or female genitalia. If genital warts form in a woman’s cervix, she may be more likely to develop cervical cancer.
Each type of wart is produced by a specific virus. Wart viruses are spread by touch or by contact with the skin shed from a wart. Common warts are local growths in the skin that are caused by human papillomavirus(HPV) infection. They are generally not contagious. There are over 100 types of papillomaviruses (HPVs) that infect humans.
What causes warts?
More than 80 different types of HPV have been identified, and they have tropism (affinity) for different types of body tissue. Most types of HPV have an affinity for the skin and produce common warts (verruca vulgaris), flat warts (verruca plana), and plantar or foot warts (verruca plantaris). Several other types of HPV have an affinity for mucous membranes and some of these cause ano-genital warts (condyloma acuminata) for which there are genital wart removal products .
HPV is passed from person to person by direct or indirect contact, and from one body location to another on the same person. The virus more easily enters the body through an area of skin that is moist, peeling, or cracked.
Warts can occur when HPV invades the body through tiny cuts or breaks in the skin on the bottom of the feet. The virus often is encountered on contaminated surfaces, such as the tile floors of public locker rooms, showers, and swimming pools. Normally, antibodies in the blood destroy HPV, but in some cases, it takes refuge in the skin.

Some of the other causes of warts are, people with low immune systems such as those with AID’s, diabetics, cancer patients, transplant patients, elderly people, and children. A cut, or scratch on the hands, or feet can be some of the causes of warts they allow the wart virus to enter the body.

Warts are growths on your skin caused by an infection with human papilloma virus, or HPV. Warts can evolve on all parts of your body. They can grow on your skin, on the inside of your mouth, on your genitals and on your rectal area. They are most common among children and young adults. They typically disappear after a few months but can last for years and can reoccur.
There are a range of treatments available for the removal of warts .
A few papilloma viruses are known to cause cervical cancer. There are five kinds of warts. They look different and form on different parts of the body. Common warts grow most often on the hands, but they may be anywhere on the body.
Plantar warts rise on the soles of the feet. They seem like difficult, dense patches of rind with blue specks. Plantar warts may induce pain when you walk, and you may look like you are stepping on a pebble. Flat warts normally rise on the cheek, weaponry, or legs. They are tiny (normally smaller than the eraser on the conclusion of a pencil), have thin tops, and can be pink, soft brown, or soft yellow. Filiform warts normally rise around the lip, nose, or beard region. Periungual warts arise under and around the toenails and fingernails. They seem like bumpy bumps with a spotty surface and edge. Soak a tiny slice of cotton in aloe gel and tape over the wart. Add much gel every three hours with a small dropper. The light-colored emission from milkweed is used internationally to handle wart removal. Apply immediately from plant or take topical creams. Leave the peel on except when bathing, changing daily. This cure may go several months. Apply lemon juice to the wart and rub in lightly. Repeat two or three times daily. Rub a piece of sweet pineapple on the wart. Keep applying often, as needed.

Warts are harmless growths which are small in size. They are the result of a viral infection caused by the Human Papilloma Virus family. There are nearly 60 different varieties of the Human Papilloma Virus. Each type prefers a particular part of the body.
Warts normally occur on the skin or on the mucous membrane. Warts can spread from one part of the body to the other and from one person to the other.
Wart Removal – Wart Cure
As such warts are quite a common problem with children, young adults and women. Normally the virus enters the body through the skin or mucous membrane. Symptoms of warts do not occur for at least 1 to 8 months of infection.
The various types of warts are distinguished by the places on the body where they appear. They are:
- Hand Warts: These grow on the fingers, around the nails and the backs of hands. Often they appear where the skin is broken.
- Foot Warts or Plantar Warts: These appear on the balls of the feet, the heels and the bottoms of the toes.
- Flat Warts: These can appear anywhere on the body. These are smaller, smoother and flatter compared to other warts. Also they appear in large numbers on the surface of the body.
- Genital Warts: This is a form of a sexually transmitted disease and is passed on during sexual activity.
When the Human Papiloma Virus infection spreads and infects the person, certain symptoms begin to show up. The symptoms of warts include the appearance of small bumps on the surface of the skin, which if left untreated can spread some more, grow up to an inch in size and cause a lot of pain. Often these bumps appear in clumps or groups. The surface of the warts may also be scaly at times.
Wart Removal: Wart Cure And Wart Treatment
Wart removal is often quite a simple procedure. Therefore, one must show the warts to one’s doctor immediately after they are seen. If the warts remain untreated for a long time, then it becomes more complicated to treat them. There are also a variety of home remedies or alternative treatments for wart cure and wart removal.
Several wart treatment measures are over the counter treatments and medications. These over the counter treatments are usually in form of lotions or ointments. They help remove the skin where the warts have appeared. At the end of the treatment, the skin with the warts simply falls off, effecting a cure.
Alternative remedies include several products or treatments like plasters which cause the skin to become moist and even saturated with water. This causes the skin layer to peel off, taking the wart with it.
Another method of treatment is with the use of duct tape. The warts are kept loosely covered with duct tape for several weeks which causes the warts and the skin to come off.
There are a variety of home remedies or alternative treatment measures for wart cure. One of the most well known methods is the application of vitamin E to the skin surrounding the wart, and then crushing a clove of raw garlic and placing it on the wart. The area is then covered with an adhesive bandage. The garlic causes a blister to form and then the wart falls off within a week.
Another home remedy involves chopping a raw onion. Cover the chopped onion with salt and leave this dish covered overnight. A juice will form. The next day apply this juice on the warts. Do this twice a day till the warts disappear. Applying the juice of the stems of fig trees and leaves has also been known do the trick.
However, there are also other methods of wart treatment and wart cure which can be done by a doctor. One of them is cryosurgery. In this process, the tissue is frozen using liquid nitrogen. Liquid nitrogen normally has a temperature of 330 Degrees Fahrenheit or 200 Degrees Celsius. Applying the liquid nitrogen to the affected skin causes the tissues to freeze. This helps the doctor to remove the frozen tissue which has been infected by the warts. The area then heals fairly quickly.
Another method used by the doctors is called electrocautery. In this process, an electric needle is used to burn off the wart. This ends up killing the tissue around the warts, thus helping the doctor to peel off the skin tissue along with the warts on it.
Laser surgery for wart removal also works on the same principle. The Laser beam aims at the area of the wart and the heat ends up killing the skin around the wart. The skin, along with the wart then simply falls off.
Genital warts and Foot Warts are comparatively more difficult to cure and heal. The reason is that they need specialized treatments and often the virus remains within the skin even if the wart falls off. Therefore the cure also includes chemical treatments for killing off the virus as well.
Wart Treatment: Wart Prevention
Prevention is the best cure. The only way to prevent warts is to maintain a good hygiene and a balanced diet. The vitamins A, C and E help make the immune system stronger. This can also help one to not get infected with warts.

Treatment For Venereal Warts
HPVwill sometimes breakout in groups or will start off small on the genital tissue where it can spread quickly into large masses. These warts can be treated differently depending on how big they are and where they are located.
The doctor might use a chemical that is 25% podophyllin solution and is placed to the area that is affected. After a few hours it will be washed off. Doctors will not use this treatment if the woman is pregnant because the skin will absorb it and will increase the risk of birth defects.
The smaller sized warts can removed by freezing them with liquid nitrogen or burning them with electroesiccation. Imiquimod is a 5% cream that is an interferon inducer. It helps to reduce the activity and to clear external spread
One of the rarest forms of treatment is surgery. This is a last resort for patients whose bodies will not respond well to the other treatments. One common medical procedure that doctors will use is laser surgery.
